Community barn in Markóc (Ungarn, 2012)
The project connects learning and student research with a purposeful, meaningful activity; research is not l’art pour l’art activity but serves the interests of the local community at the same time. The empoverishment of villagers can be turned back by the reorganisation of the community and by the restoration of local natural resources. Both of these conditions need thinking and acting together in coordination. The infrastructural conditions of the above are not ready yet given (an appropriate site for community reunions and a processing workshop). This application is being written in order to create the above mentioned missing link.

Speech-to-text is a new social service which helps to deafened and hard of hearing persons to overcome information and communication barriers, opens the way to their social integration. It also helps to eliminate the existing discrimination against these people in court, where until recently, they were in an unequal position because of their disability.

Am 15. Februar 2011 wurde im steirischen Landtag das Bettelverbot mehrheitlich beschlossen. Das Betteln wurde damit in der Landeshauptstadt unter Verwaltungsstrafe gesetzt. Auch die StraßenmusikerInnen bekommen die neuen Maßnahmen zu spüren. Im Juli 2011 veranlasste ich, dass Straßenmusiker (ungarischsprachige Roma aus Hostice) im StockwerkJAZZ, einem bekannten Jazzclub gemeinsam auf der Bühne miteinander spielen konnten…

UNEMPLOYED HUNGARIAN GIPSY MUCISIANS AGAINST PREJUDICESUnemployed Gipsy musicians organize unconventional activities in Budapest to recover full status as citizens and professionals instead of living on aid or by undeclared work. Activities in 2011, highly appreciated both by Roma and non-Roma: concerts and CD on the occasion of Liszt Year, music teaching. Their aim is a cultural tourism enterprise to link tourists to local socio-cultural experiences.

The project Home-net (Honháló) is dealing with the sustainability of Hungarian small rural villages. We consider the active local civic communities as a major factor resolving the acute problems. In our work we intend to explore these communities and to organise them into a self-developing network, the Home-net. This network is in part a web based platform to promote the community communication, partly a series of events helping the personal encounters.

With communal collaboration for the prevention on the coherent diseases of drug useIt is a complex harm reduction program that based on the community and has more levels. The program contains the following elements: harm reduction, training, drug trash collecting, cleaning, social work on the streets, communal social work, „Plaza Program“, procreating a communal park. The target audience: drug users, prostitutes, roma people and endangered teenagers who are cruising on the streets and in the shopping mall.
