Junior City Farmer Schönbrunn (Bécs, 2012)

In the heart of Vienna, under expert, age-appropriate guidance, children and pre-teens aged between 4 and 12 plant vegetables, harvest, cook and eat together, play in a miniature (fairytale) pine forest, and frolic through nature among fruit trees, ...the children come from different backgrounds and there may be social and/or language barriers, physical or mental impairments. The aim is social learning through cooperative action, following the flow of biological cycles, while engaging all the senses. Ten groups a week of around 20 children are possible, either regularly or at pre-arranged specific times, by institutional arrangement with kindergartens or schools, or privately with parents or guardians. At the end, the children always take something home with them (in a flowerpot).

Land lying fallow is transformed into the collective experience of a garden setting for children and pre-teens from the city; in this way, untapped potential is used to accomplish social, integrative learning. It is achieved not as the obvious goal, but in a ‘by-the-way’ fashion. Emphasis is placed on understanding nature’s cycles. Social engagement is also fostered as a result. The possibility of design and layout becomes a lived experience and the opportunity to open up to oneself and to others. A great diversity of things grow both in nature and in the social sphere...There is rest and movement, freedom and quiet. This is a simple, but varied project. We hope the structural basis for the widest possible dissemination of the Junior City Farmer can be created.

Counselling Centre for Lesbian and Bisexual women (Horvátország, 2012)

Counselling Centre for Lesbian and Bisexual Women is project of Lesbian Group Kontra. Activities: phone hotline, e-mail counselling, individual therapy, support groups for parents of LGB persons, workshops, education for health care providers. We want to raise standard of mental health care of lesbian and bisexual women and to ensure safe environment for lesbians and bisexual women.

A Jel TV Magyarországon egyedülálló kezdeményezés, mely a 60 000-es hazai hallássérült társadalom azon igényén és jogos követelésén alapul, hogy saját anyanyelvén, jelnyelven, saját gondolkodásmódja szerint jusson hozzá a világ és saját szubkultúrája híreihez, vegyen részt az össztársadalmi diskurzusban. A Jel TV működtetését olyan siket és hallássérült önkéntesek és jelnyelvi tolmácsok biztosítják, akik Alapítványunk képzései és szakmai támogatása által váltak és válnak képessé magas színvonalú mozgóképes anyagok elkészítésére, publikálására.

LEBI-Laden (Lebensmittel billiger) (Stájerország, 2012)

Der LEBI-Laden in Gleisdorf ist der erste Sozialladen, der auf eine Einkommensprüfung der KundInnen verzichtet. Jede und Jeder ist willkommen und kann Lebensmittel und Güter des täglichen Bedarfs kostengünstig erwerben. Gleichzeitig wird so der Vernichtung von Nahrungsmitteln entgegengewirkt. Der LEBI-Laden ist eine soziale Drehscheibe – er unterstützt und fördert die soziale Eingliederung von armutsbetroffenen Menschen und sensibilisiert die Menschen der Region.

made IN – made BY (Bécs, 2012)

made IN – made BY ist eine soziale Unternehmung, die durch die Verarbeitung von Textilien sichere Arbeitsplätze für Migrantinnen in Wien schafft, um deren Lebenssituation in Österreich zu verbessern. Neben der Schaffung eines „grünen“ Labels werden auch Auftragsarbeiten angefertigt. Durch das gemeinsame Arbeiten und die Art der Aufgaben soll den Frauen Inklusion und Entfaltung geboten werden.

A projekt célja a Pressley Ridge komplex, önálló életre nevelési program megvalósítása a győri Kossuth Lajos Általános Iskolában az ott tanuló magatartás- és viselkedészavaros, beilleszkedési és tanulási nehézségekkel küzdő, hátrányos szociális helyzetű gyerekek és fiatalok nevelésének és oktatásának támogatására.

Fogyatékosügyi program (Magyarország, 2012)

A TASZ fogyatékosügyi programjának célja az értelmi fogyatékos, halmozottan fogyatékos és autista emberek emberi jogainak védelme. A program célja többek között a gondnoksági rendszer reformja, a nagy létszámú intézmények bezárása és közösségi alapú szolgáltatások bevezetése, illetve a fogyatékos embereket sújtó választójogi korlátozás eltörlése. A program lebonyolításában aktív szerepet játszanak a fogyatékos emberek.

Magyarországon észrevétlennek kell lenniük a (többszörös) testi fogyatékkal élő embereknek. Ezért általában nem rendelkeznek választójoggal, nagy valószínűséggel nem részesülhetnek oktatásban, nem dolgozhatnak, és csendben kell éljenek a családi otthon vagy a nevelőintézet falai mögött. A Program a fogyatékosok jogaiért ezt a gyakorlatot igyekszik megszüntetni. A közel 100 ezer érintett állampolgár politikai és társadalmi jogaiért folytatott harc egyre szélesebb körben és egyre intenzívebben folyik, és az érintettek maguk is egyre aktívabban vesznek részt benne. Mi ezt nagyszerűnek találjuk, és kitartást kívánunk munkájukhoz.

Café Rozmar (Csehország, 2012)

Café Rozmar is the first social firm in the Czech Republic which support young people after leaving institutions. As the training waiters/waitress and help cooks they gain first job experience and practise. Café Rozmar is something like a “transfer station” between children´s home and normal life. Space which offer real job practice on the one side and personal support and tolerance on the the other side. Café Rozmar is the first chance how to start.

Unaccompanied young refugees aged between 16 and 24 with a prospect of gaining legal residence in Austria improve their educational prospects through an intensive ‘second-chance vocational training’: a six-month support programme in German, English and mathematics supplemented by computer and industry-specific content. Volunteer mentors and job application training help during learning and the actual search for apprenticeships. Currently, twenty young refugees are participating in ‘educational pathways 2012’. Following the so-called “trial internship’ at the beginning, twelve of them have a fixed commitment to apprenticeships in five of the companies cooperating with the project.

Rechtliche Sozialberatung der Caritas Steiermark (Stájerország, 2012)

Die Rechtsberatung der Caritas Steiermark versucht, Menschen die keine Lobby haben rechtlich zu unterstützen. Jeder Mensch hat Rechte die gewahrt werden müssen. Viele Menschen sind nicht ausreichend in der Lage sich in der immer undurchschaubareren Rechtswelt zu Recht zu finden. Die Rechtsberatung fungiert dabei als Dolmetscher bzw. Begleiter und Fürsprecher um ihren KlientInnen zu ihrem Recht zu verhelfen. Wir verfolgen das Ziel „Rechtsansprüche“ vor allem bei Sozialleistungen unserer KlientInnen durchzusetzen um eine Abkehr vom antiquierten System der „freiwilligen“ und deswegen oft willkürlichen „Almosen“ zu erreichen, das immer wieder für unsere KlientInnen noch spürbar ist.
