Michael Niavarani, actor and cabaret artist
Michael Niavarani is the author of many revues of the Cabaret Simpl – where he first went on stage in 1989 and whose artistic director he became in 1993. He can furthermore be seen time and again in films and in television series. He has been a regular guest of the Austrian TV comedy quiz “What’s New” (Was gibt es Neues?) since 2004. In 2006 he won the Golden Romy award as the most popular actor in TV series, and in 2007 and 2008 he won the Golden Romy award as most popular cabaret performer.
In November 2009 Michael Niavarani organised a charity event for the Carinthian association Vobis and its project "Education on offer by and for asylum seekers” (Bildungsangebote für und von AsylwerberInnen). 5,000 euros were collected for the association on this occasion.
Thomas Geierspichler, European Champion, World Record Holder and Olympic Champion
Thomas Geierspichler is a most exceptional athlete. European Champion, multiple World Record Holder and World Champion - and in 2004 the dream of every sportsman came true: the Olympic Gold medal at the Paralympics in Athens! With this came three silver and one bronze medal. At the 13th Paralympics in Beijing in 2008, he again won the gold medal, becoming Olympic Marathon Champion in world record time.
Thomas Geierspichler chose the project "Enterprise Heroes“ (Unternehmen Helden) to support. The hoped for cooperation has so far not been realised.
