What is it about?

Homeless people, living on the periphery of society, struggle with atomisation and isolation. Refugees, when arriving in a new country, find themselves in a new social environment. Members of both groups need support in managing their everyday lives, and accessing basic services such as healthcare and education. In peer support, a peer mentor with similar experiences supports another person’s integration while cohesive relations are formed. A relationship of partnership and trust can develop between mentor and mentee, creating efficient and empowering support processes.
