The project improves youth's early scientific literacy in under-represented parts of southern Croatia (smaller towns, rural areas, and islands) by providing professional teacher training and implementing STEM workshops in schools. The adaptation and piloting of the OUI STEM program, which bears the SKOCKANO quality mark (for nonformal programs), stimulates children's curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking while also creating a network of cooperation between scientists, schools, and the civil sector, providing equal opportunities for STEM skill development in children and educators.
