Streetwork In Chat

The outreach social work programme accompanies its target group and thereby uses innovative methods. It picks up the (socially) vulnerable children and adolescents in their new “natural” environment, in the digital social media. The online street workers not only help - just as they do offline - with personal problems, but at the same time actively contribute to a respectful use of the net. Street Work in Chat is furthermore pursuing a goal at the structural level: The relevant ministry should officially recognise outreach online social work as a new form of street work.
