The Budapest Centre of Social Policy and Its Services (BMSZKI) has opened a trauma-conscious gynecological practice for homeless women. This is the first trauma-conscious gynecological service in Hungary, where the physical environment, the attitude of staff and the operation of services have all been adapted to the need of women who have survived abuse, uniting medical and social support in a holistic approach. The project was realized through cooperation with a wide group of stakeholders: private individuals, NGOs, for-profit organizations and public social services.
