Gender-sensitive work with boys is being undertaken as part of workshops involving boys from 6 years old in addition to and in conjunction with work with girls. Based on emancipatory models, these workshops enable boys and young men to tackle various issues within an environment which promotes thought, e.g. gender constructions of femininity and masculinity, career and life planning, violence, sexuality/ physicality, health, media experiences and much more. The focus is on emancipating prevailing masculine imperatives.
