How can we bring brilliant ideas from the world of social innovation to the places where decisions are made?
A webinar with politician Marie Jílková will offer both inspiration and practical insights into how to engage with policymakers and public officials, how to advocate for systemic change, and what a well-crafted advocacy strategy can truly achieve. How can we best connect the world of innovation with public policy to ensure that impact doesn’t remain only on paper?                 

Webinar Content:

1. How the System Works: Understanding the Political and Legislative Context. Brief and clear explanation of how laws are made, how decisions are influenced, and what civic advocacy tools exist. How to identify allies in politics or public administration.

2. Advocacy Strategy for Social Innovators. How to choose the right goal (legislation? regulation? public funding criteria?) How to design proposals that are politically feasible while staying    true to the spirit of innovation.

3. How toTalk to Politicians and Officials. How to translate the "language of innovation" into the "language of the system? What resonates with policymakers (data, stories, visuals...). What to avoid (e.g. excessive    pressure, moralizing...).
