O čem projekt je?
The Styrian project, My Body Belongs to Me, combines theatre with crime prevention. The drama-based educational project, which was originally developed in Osnabrück in Germany, tackles the issue of sexual abuse of children and is designed for primary school children in years 3 and 4. Drama educators go to schools and deal with the topic of child abuse in three phases, using simple scenes from everyday life. Teachers and parents are also involved. Together, the groups deal with the topics of “Learning to Say No”, “Encounters with Strangers” and “Where Can You Get Help?” This mobile and interactive project now consists of seven teams and reaches some 200 schools each year.

In 2008, the jury praised the project’s methods, namely the way it teaches people to “take children seriously as observers” and how it explains the importance “of taking oneself seriously” as “the best type of crime prevention”. The project was awarded a prize of €1000.
