Miről szól a projekt?
The Cordelia Foundation’s mobile service provides comprehensive care in Békéscsaba, Bicske und Debrecen Refugee Reception Centres in Hungary specifically for female refugees from Africa who have been tortured or are traumatised. Apart from legal aid, the focus is on psychosocial and therapeutic work. Once the client has been stabilised, medical and social services can be provided. The aim of all of the methods used is to allow the women concerned to form a new gender identity, a new image of themselves and their bodies. The programme is interdisciplinary, travels to the women’s temporary home, and is provided in the women’s native languages. Since 2009, integration endeavours in Bicske have been intensified thanks to donations.
