O čem projekt je?

Parents and guardians from different social backgrounds are brought together through the common issue of child care in so-called ‘Family Points’. The aim is to integrate people or families under threat of social exclusion by adopting a preventative approach, without any stigma. For the first time, these ‘Family Points’ are being established in Brünn at publicly accessible points such as book shops, hospitals and offices. They offer a consultation and information zone, a care zone, a meeting zone and a children’s zone. They have been very well received (50 to 60 families per year) and should therefore be extended to other cities. There are currently 34 Family Points across South Moravia.

Hodnocení poroty

A low threshold form of family care with the explicit goal of bringing together the different social classes and preventing exclusion. Less spectacular, but certainly efficient. The fact that there is a need for such a project is reflected by the fast dissemination of the scheme: being embedded in the local social infrastructure, it took just a year and a half from the opening of the first ‘Family Point’ to the current 34 points… we hope that there will soon be lots more of these points in South Moravia and on the map of the Czech Republic as a whole!
